Penal/Debe Regional Corporation

Brief History

The Municipality of Penal/Debe covers an area of 246.91 square kilometres (km2) and is strategically located south of the City of San Fernando and is bounded by the regions of Siparia and Princes Town.

The Penal/Debe Region, located in Southern Trinidad, spans a land area of 246 km2 and is home to approximately 89,392 people. Of these, 45,456 are male and 43,935 are female. It is the 6th largest Regional Corporation in terms of both area and population.

Waste Management Policy Launch

Chairman Gowtam Maharaj and the Public Health Officer attended the Waste Management Policy Launch hosted by The Ministry of Public Utilities.

The Chairman shared the vision for PDRC Waste Management and the room for public-private partnership with Director of Debe based company Hello Green, as the company displayed its eco-friendly products.

WASA Partnership

The partnership between the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation and WASA Trinidad & Tobago continues!

Citizens can have an opportunity to chat with a WASA representative about various services. including: applications for new service connections; billing inquiries; and assistance with other related services.

Dynafogging

The Penal Debe Regional Corporation Dynafogging unit was at work for the purpose of mosquito control and source reduction, in several areas throughout the region as they sought to eliminate adult dengue mosquitoes. 320 households were fogged in Gopie Trace, Raju Trace, Raju Branch Trace, Tulsa Trace, Rookmineah Trace North and Rookmineah Trace South.
