Public Health Lecture
In observance of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐃𝐚𝐲 on December 1st, the Chaguanas Borough Corporation’s Public Health Unit, led by Dr. Sharon Lakhan, partnered with The HIV Advocacy Unit, Ministry of Labor, to host an insightful and interactive lecture which focused on fostering understanding, cultivating empathy and building a more inclusive workplace for all.

Cerebral Palsy
According to the Mayo Clinic, "Cerebral palsy is a group of conditions that affect movement and posture. It's caused by damage that occurs to the developing brain, most often before birth. Symptoms appear during infancy or preschool years and vary from very mild to serious. Children with cerebral palsy may have exaggerated reflexes."
The Chaguanas Borough Corporation joined with the Cerebral Palsy Society of Trinidad and Tobago, to spread awareness and support for an important cause, with the hallmark focus on "Together, we can make a difference!"
